Abstract

This paper studies new innovative infotainment software architecture for the development of next-generation infotainment system. Hardware independent design rule is developed to support mainstream hardware in the market. Native Application Framework is developed for the architecture that allows native app executives to be grouped and configured to meet the different system feature requirements. Ethernet based communication methodology is designed for flexible extension of system modules. Study shows that this software architecture helps to shorten the development timing and dramatically reduce the cost. © 2013 Springer-Verlag.
