Abstract

Space-based astrometry missions can achieve an accuracy that has not been possible before (by ground-based observations). However, in order to guarantee this precision, it is of the utmost importance to check the scientific quality of the data constantly. We present a model-based monitoring system, called Science Quick Look, that is able to carry out the preliminary scientific assessment. We have implemented a prototype of the system and show the results of an evaluation. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2005.
