Abstract

An overview of the current concepts in breast reconstruction with the practical considerations for each reconstructive option is presented. The various methods in vogue should he tailored to the patients' needs and expectations. The newer techniques like free TRAM (Transverse Rectus Abdominis Myocutaneous flap) breast reconstruction are becoming more popular due to their superior aesthetic result.
