This review examines the stresses on Rhizobium when in the carrier and on the seed, the effectiveness of Rhizobium strains in establishment, their survival in the soil, and the biological stresses to which they are subject, both biological and non-biological. The factors constraining nitrogen fixation by Cyanobacteria and Azolla are also considered with particular reference to paddy fields. Source: CAB
