Teaching sex/AIDS education in Zimbabwe

Abstract

This paper is about the author’s experiences and problems as a white, expatriate British man teaching AIDS education at a teachers’ college in Zimbabwe. A key concern was to develop student-centred methods to encourage students, and especially women, to articulate anxieties and desires which might be taboo in mixed gender groups. © 1996, Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
