Abstract

Disability represents a major challenge that societies worldwide have to address. First, from an individual perspective, persons with disabilities have the right to 'full and effective participation and inclusion in the society.' Second, from a societal perspective, the society has the ethical and legal obligation to include them in all aspects of life. Third, from an economic perspective, the society is interested that persons with disabilities contribute to the community either in the form of tangible or intangible productivity.
