Abstract

Sequential simulation is used throughout the natural resources industry to construct multiple equiprobable numerical models. The sequential methodology is straightforward, but some implementation details require further explanation. This paper explores some of the implementation issues associated with choice of: simulation path, search strategies, number of conditioning data, and the affect of ergodic fluctuations under the Gaussian assumption.
