Abstract

Power efficiency of Stirling engine is low due to different causes. One of them is the displacement function of compression piston. This is pseudo-sinusoidal and is performed by a slidercrank mechanism. The thermo-dynamic functions should require a special displacement function for compression piston. Focusing on this request the paper proposes a new dwell mechanism. © Springer Science+Business Media B.V. 2010.
