Abstract

This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (Overview). The objectives are as follows:. Overall objective. To systematically summarise best evidence on the effects and safety of yoga for people with schizophrenia. Primary objective. To summarise evidence from Cochrane systematic reviews on the effects of yoga for people with schizophrenia. Secondary objectives. If Cochrane systematic reviews have not covered a relevant comparison, we aim:. to summarise evidence from non-Cochrane systematic reviews – which do not substantially overlap with the relevant Cochrane systematic reviews – on the effects and safety of yoga for people with schizophrenia; to systematically identify gaps – though identification of relevant narrative reviews – in the evidence base that will inform recommendations for new reviews and trials; and to summarise information on reported outcomes and make recommendations for the reporting of standard outcomes in future trials and reviews.
