Abstract

In the original article, there was an error. An important acknowledgment - thanking Andrew Constable - was omitted from the acknowledgments section. A correction has been made to ACKNOWLEDGMENTS: This work is a core contribution to the first Marine Ecosystem Assessment for the Southern Ocean (MEASO), part of the Integrated Marine Biosphere Research project’s (IMBeR) Integrating Climate and Ecosystem Dynamics in the Southern Ocean (ICED) programme. We thank the MEASO Support Group and Steering Committee for assisting with figures, coordination and editing of the text. We also thank Andrew Constable for constructive discussions on the development of the manuscript and on the risk assessment. This manuscript contributes to the British Antarctic Survey (BAS) Polar Science for Planet Earth “Ecosystems” programme, the BAS Environment Office Long Term Monitoring and Survey project (EO-LTMS), and the “State of the Antarctic Ecosystem” research programme (AntEco) of the Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research (SCAR). The authors apologize for this error and state that this does not change the scientific conclusions of the article in any way. The original article has been updated.
