Abstract

Almost all of the literature on scientific studies regarding the process capability analysis increasing product quality shows that the use of variable data. However, due to problems related to measurement in some production processes such as in manufacturing with plastic injection it is necessary to use the qualitative characteristics of quality. This study demonstrates scientifically the process capability analysis technique using measurement the performance of the process improvements made by SMED approach is not only for quality characteristics with variable features but also for the qualitative quality characteristics in the electronics industry. U-control charts will be used with process capability analysis method in this study in order to check whether the process is stable. Process capability analysis technique is implemented by using MINITAB14 software to investigate the performance measurement of SMED improved plastic injection molding production.
