Sustainable development in accordance with the concept of industry 4.0 on the example of the furniture industry

Abstract

Sustainable development, as an integral part of building an economically rational market, is a challenge which is faced by many branches of the economy. The paper is an attempt to assess the opportunities provided by Industry 4.0 in the process of sustainable development of the furniture industry in Poland, making use of the experiences resulting from the participation of the Author in the project co-funded by the Erasmus+ Program of the European Union “Curriculum Development of Master’s Degree Program in Industrial Engineering for Thailand Sustainable Smart Industry - MSIE4.0”.
