Abstract

Nowadays, the setup of seamless, cross-organizational working environments is a challenging task, mainly because of security-related problems. The available options for cross-domain collaboration are often dysfunctional, expensive and not in line with the organization's business needs. Despite the proliferation of claims-based mechanisms like SAML, WS-Trust or WS-Federation, additional guidance is necessary how to effectively apply these technologies. The architectural pattern and ideas presented in this talk are an attempt to solve a common class of problems in collaboration space. © IFIP International Federation for Information Processing 2005.
