Abstract

This paper deals with the application able to predict the quality of Triple play services in the network. Our previous results led to the creation of mathematical models for each service type (voice, video and data), and the application offered fast calculation of reached quality according to the objective evaluation methods. Because our application is still being developed and tested, the version described here offers a new features and measurement parameters. The verification of results was performed on two the most common network infrastructure vendors (Cisco and Huawei) and new codecs were included too. The application can not only predict QoS parameters, but also generate the source code of particular QoS policy setting according to the user interaction and apply the selected policy to the routers in the network. The contribution of this paper lies in designing an extended version of SW tool capable of predicting the quality of Triple-play services in networks and configuring QoS policies on routers.
