Abstract

The great potential of robots in extracting quantitative and meaningful data is not always exploited. The aim of the present work is to propose a simple parameter that allows to follow the performance of subjects during upper limb robotic training with no additional effort for patients or clinicians. The parameter has been computed using data automatically recorded by the robot during each session of training. In this chapter we give the technical guidelines to define the performance parameter and we use it to evaluate the training outcome in a group of 14 children affected by Cerebral Palsy.
