Abstract

Ball bearing is considered as source of acoustic level increasing in rotating systems. In this paper, we propose a numerical model to simulate the dynamic behavior of a one stage helical gear system in presence of different sources of non linearity such ball bearing clearance, Hertzian contact force and action of balls on bearing races. The implicit Newmark algorithm coupled with Newton Raphson iterative method is used to solve the non linear differential equation iteratively, in order to analyze the influence of a pinion eccentricity defect on the dynamic behavior of one stage helical gear transmission system under transient and stationary regimes.
