Abstract

We report a new polarimetric imaging setup based on tunable liquid crystal components and its application in computer vision. The analysis of polarization parameters (polarimetric imaging) has been used in photometric 3D shape reconstruction. This research describes a novel approach for 3D shape measurement system supported by polarization image analysis. Enhancement of fringe image quality is realized using the detector unit with special liquid crystal filter.
