Abstract

Dealing with large numbers of image data is considered as a compulsory routine for medical imaging researchers. With the growing number of medical image data, the effective management and interactive processing of imaging data become essential necessity. The scenario poses a challenge to researcher community on how to construct effective data management and processing systems, in order to promote collaboration, maintain data integrity and circumvent resource redundancy. In this paper, we present a Medical Image Computing Toolbox (MICT) for Matlab® as a extension to Picture Archive and Communication System (PACS). MICT is oriented to providing interactive images processing and archiving service to medical researchers. In a nutshell, MICT is desired to be a cost effective and enriched collaboration solution for medical image sharing, processing and analysis in research communities.
