Recent years have seen the identification of a number of immune-mediated Ataxias including gluten Ataxia (GA) and primary autoimmune cerebellar Ataxia (PACA). It is clear that the cerebellum is a primary organ for immune-mediated insults perhaps more commonly than the rest of the brain. This chapter will discuss immune mediated Ataxias: primary autoimmune cerebellar Ataxia, gluten Ataxia, postinfectious cerebellitis, Miller Fisher syndrome (MFS), and opsoclonus-myoclonus Ataxia syndrome. Paraneoplastic cerebellar degeneration, another immune-mediated Ataxia will be discussed in Chap. 94, “Diagnosis of Neoplastic and Paraneoplastic Cerebellar Ataxia”.
