Abstract

A data assimilation process that employs best linear unbiased estimation has been applied to slant total electron content data from the IGS network and CHAMP. The data has been assimilated into a three dimensional electron density grid for a test day in June, 2003. The accuracy of these assimilations has been assessed through the use of independent GPS data. © 2005 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
