Abstract
For 20 years, exciting new developments in dental materials and computer technology have led to the success of contemporary dental computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) technology. This article provides an overview of the status of current CAD/CAM systems, describes components of CAD/CAM technologies and suggests future possibilities. © 2008 Taylor and Francis Group, LLC.
