Abstract

The focus of this book is: bringing together communities of learners with scientists and technologists. The relevance of this theme is obvious. If we want to present an image of what science and technology really are, one has to realise a connection between what happens in the classroom and what happens in the real world of science and technology. In the first chapter of the book, a more complete reflection of the arguments for bringing together learners and scientists and technologists has been presented. In the previous chapter, the world of science has been presented and what that has to do with learners.
