Green shooting: analysis of the discourse in the press of sustainable audiovisual production in Spain (2015-2019)

Abstract

The aim of this study is to analyze the treatment made by the press on sustainable audiovisual production in Spain. We conducted a quantitative and textual analysis of the news that appeared in national media and in Spanish on sustainable productions between 2015 and 2019. 108 news are obtained. The analysis of the linguistic corpus was made using textual analysis software. The results suggest that the main topics addressed are mainly linked to proposals to reduce the environmental impact of these productions, the celebration of sustainable film festivals, the use of audiovisual works to educate on ecological values, and the dissemination of sustainable trends in the audiovisual sector at European level.
