Abstract

Ginkgolide B belongs to families of ginkgo diterpene lipids, which are terpenes extracted from Ginkgo biloba. Ginkgolide B is both the platelet-activating factor (PAF) receptor antagonist and a nonspecific central nervous glycine receptor antagonist which can upregulate BDNF and inhibits the release of intracellular calcium ion and NO. Due to the complexity of its structure, its solubility and bioavailability are the most important factors affecting druggability. With the further study, this compound will be used in clinical better.
