Abstract

The Tent-FDK algorithm is one of common approaches to reconstruct images from parallel-fan-beam data, which is obtained by rebinning the cone-beam data acquired with a circular trajectory. Such data rebinning is for saving computational cost as well as the improved quality of image presentation. The rebinning step is in common achieved by using interpolation methods. Different interpolation methods lead to different numerical presentations and noisy textures in the reconstructed images. This presentation systematically evaluates three interpolation methods in rebinning cone-beam data into parallel-fan-beam data in the framework of the Tent-FDK algorithm in Cone-beam CT. © 2008 Springer-Verlag.
