Abstract

The microstructural equations describing processes of recrystallization and grain growth are implemented in the FORGE2+ commercial program first. Then, the calculations of the grain size distribution on the cross section of the axisymmetrical forging are performed. Finally, the influence of the shape of the preform die on the microstructure of the final product is investigated. © 1994, The Iron and Steel Institute of Japan. All rights reserved.
