Abstract

We combine phase-locked femtosecond pulses with 1.5, 1.0 and 0.5 μm wavelength to shape optical cycles and experimentally realize the concept of the “perfect wave for high harmonic generation”. This has far-reaching implications for attosecond spectroscopy.
