Kinetic modeling of peritoneal dialysis

Abstract

This chapter presents the anatomy and physiology of the peritoneal barrier as background for understanding the complex process of the transperitoneal transport system. Kinetic models are presented in three general forms: membrane models, compartmental models, and distributed models.
