Abstract

Against both Gadamer and Rorty, I will argue that hermeneutics and epistemology are not polar opposites, but compatible, since epistemology is a form of hermeneutics. I will further argue that hermeneutics needs to be developed beyond Gadamer as a way of resolving the epistemological problems.
