In this paper, the conventional primary user signal detection algorithms' common weakness and advantages of the primary user signal detection scheme based on CUSUM algorithm are analyzed. To avoid the statistic's dithering which increases the detection delay, an improved CUSUM algorithm with a slipped pretreatment window is proposed. Simulation shows that the detection delay of the improved algorithm is decreased obviously. © 2012 Springer-Verlag GmbH.
