Objetive: Determine the relationship between the characteristics of low back pain and the degree of disability and the impact it generates on motor taxi drivers. Material and methods: descriptive, cross-sectional study, where the sample was made up of 60 motor taxi drivers from 18 to 62 years of age of the transport company of smaller vehicles Los Chasquis in the district of Comas. The instrument “Lumbar pain questionnaire in motorcycle taxi drivers” was used, which was validated by judges who are experts in Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation, consisting of 14 questions. Disability was measured through the “Roland Morris Questionnaire” Results: 81% showed chronic pain in the lower back, perception of low back pain was 51%, the frequency “sometimes” 58%, of which 75 % did not show irradiation, 36% increased when driving. In addition 43% take pills without a prescription and 93% said they had no health education in this regard. Mototaxists, if they had irradiation with a mild degree of disability (46.67%), also presented a limitation of their daily activities with a mild degree of disability 24 (75.0%). Conclusions: relationship regarding the irradiation of low back pain and the degree of physical disability of motor taxi drivers. On the other hand, there is an association between the limitation of activities of daily living and the degree of disability. Likewise, performing activities that involve carrying weight during labor is associated with the frequency of presence of low back pain.
