Abstract

Pemphigus foliaceus can be divided into a non-endemic and endemic form. Both types share similar clinical features but differ in age of onset, geographic correlation, and familial incidence. The initial formation of fragile superficial blisters on the skin is quickly followed by the development of erosions with variable ce:degrees of scaling and crusting. The severity of disease ranges from mild and localized to fulminant and widespread.
