Abstract

the lead acid battery remains the most widespread type of electrochemical storage. Nevertheless, the diversity of the phenomenon taking place during charging or discharging, and their complexity makes it very difficult to determine the battery state of charge. . The device under development is based on the modeling of the behaviour of such batteries, and is being evaluated at our battery test facility .. First1y~ this paper presents the discharge model in which the influence of the temperature is taken into account. Then, ··the first results on the state of charge evaluation are discussed giving some information on the relevance of this method for calculating the battery state of charge.
