Abstract

This paper investigated cognitive awareness based on dual task situation. We present a set of evaluation index and designed an experimental task to measure cognitive awareness under dual task situation. We also utilized this method to evaluate task performance in four monitor display ways, including single monitor and dual monitor. Task performance as well as psychological workload was discussed by E-prime, Tobii Glass and NASA-TLX. The result showed that single monitor embedded with a semitransparent window can improve cognitive awareness compared with dual monitor design.
