Warfarin treatment and antifungal agent caspofungin for severe fungal infection in a patient previously treated with radiotherapy for oropharyngeal cancer

Abstract

Key Clinical Message: Drug-Drug interactions is important when caring for warfarin-treated patients. We examined the impact on INR with coadministration of warfarin and caspofungin and showed no affect on the INR. Coadministrations of fluconazole lead to a marked increase in INR.
