We report the presence of S. wygodzinskyi Roback, 1965 (Diptera: Chironomidae) from two different areas in Peru, furthernorth of its previously known distribution, and living on nymphs of genus Meridialaris sp. (Ephemeroptera: Leptophlebiidae) at highaltitude Andean streams in very cold water. Details of the morphology of the larvae and the pupae are reported and discussed together with the position of the midges on the host.
