Abstract

For lower cost and better performance, different applications concurrently run in distributed simulation data centers (SDCs). Requests arrive in a highly dynamic way, and they are difficult to accurately predict. This work presents the Revenue-Aware Request Admission Control (RARAC) approach to intelligently accept arriving requests by incorporating priority, response time, and revenue, etc. Experiments based on realistic requests in Google data centers demonstrate the proposed RARAC can greatly improve the revenue of SDCs provider.
