Graphene, a two-dimensional sheet of C atoms, is the object of many scientific studies, especially due to the outstanding electronic properties. The behavior of graphene based nano-devices or mesoscopic devices is ultimately influenced by the lateral homogeneity of the carrier density, electron mean free path, and mobility on the layer. This chapter reviews the main applications of scanning probe methods to the local (nanoscale) characterization of the electronic properties of graphene.
