This book seeks to open a dialogue across the profession about the ways teacher educators currently negotiate both risk and possibility as they walk the line between policy and practice in teacher preparation. edTPA is a new, and high-stakes, assessment designed to evaluate teachers’ pedagogical potential prior to entering the profession. Increasingly, currently adopted by 42 states and four territories, it represents the single determinant of the highly qualified teacher.
