Abstract

Article Outline: Glossary Definition of the Subject Introduction Definition of a Cellular Automata Limitations, Advantages, Drawbacks, and Extensions Applications Future Directions Bibliography Cellular automata offer a powerful modeling framework to describe andstudy physical systems composed of interacting components. Thepotential of this approach is demonstrated in the case of applicationstaken from various fields of physics, such as reaction-diffusionsystems, pattern formation phenomena, fluid flows and road trafficmodels.
