There has been a paradigm shift in the treatment of clubfoot since the Ponseti technique was introduced and later validated. Today, it is considered the standard of care in the treatment of idiopathic clubfoot deformity. There is a place for surgical correction in the more recalcitrant and rigid deformities. These usually involve more teratologic and syndromic conditions.
