This study aims to assess and identify the differences in the speed of puberty candidate Ongole crossbred bull candidates reared in groups of different sex. Materials used were 37 Ongole crossbred weaning calve consisted of 28 males and 9 females calves of 8 -11 months old, which wereheld for six months in the housing experiment Beef Cattle Research. The method used a randomized block design with three treatment groups of houses, namely Group A consists of individual houses with male calves per pen; Group B consists of five male calves; and Group C consists of five male calves and three young female calves. Each treatment group was done in three replications. The data were analyzed using a completely randomized design with Two Way Anova of Microsoft Excel 2007. The results of semen reservoirs with electroejaculator shows the percentage motility of the individual spermatozoa with a minimum of 10% and a minimum concentration of 50 million/ml, that is male calves housing A = 1 head; B = 4 heads and C = 3 heads. The results of analysis of variance (ANOVA) semen reservoirs not significantly different (P> 0.05) of the three treatments. The conclusion from this study indicate that the Ongole crossbred bull candidates that are kept in J. Ternak Tropika Vol. 16, No.2: 07-15, 2015 8 groups of similar or different sex types have the same timing of puberty fast (15 months) than in individual houses (16 months).
