Abstract

The article is an introduction to the complex topic of knowledge transfer in the cooperation for development. It is analyzed the multiple dimensions and plurality of the knowledge transfer process due to the diversity of objetives and context of the cooperation activities. The absorption capacity is a key condition for a successful knowledge transfer. The model proposed by Bozeman can be useful to analyze specific transfer process at "micro" level, but is insufficient to understand the dynamic aspects related with the interaction between actors, which is a fundamental factor in the cooperation for development.
