Abstract

Two chromones isolated from the methanol extract of glasswort (Salicornia europaea L.) were elucidated to be 7-hydroxy-6-methoxychromone and [formula-ommited]-β-D-glucopyranosyl-6-methoxychromone on the basis of chemical and spectral analyses and synthetic studies. These two are natural products hitherto unknown. © 1983, Japan Society for Bioscience, Biotechnology, and Agrochemistry. All rights reserved.
