AbstractWith the growing interest in learning processes put forth by neuroscience, the meaning of social and emotional factors in school learning processes have been re-discussed also within the Educational or Psychological Sciences. The aim is to identify social and emotional factors, which influence learning (including neuronal processes) to optimize effective school adjustment. In this article first results of a pilot study investigating these associations will be presented. The study has been conducted in secondary schools in Berlin (N=513) in preparation of a methodtriangulative longitutional interdisciplinary study, which will integrate methods from neuroscience, educational psychology and cultural anthropology.
