Abstract

There is a great gap of e-commerce talent in China, and a low employment rate of e-commerce undergraduates, which calls for reform of teaching models in e-commerce education. Based on the development of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in China, and analyse of e-commerce applications, the paper summarized categories of e-business needs and skills. According to the combination of Undergraduate personnel training, it is proposed that plot the direction of elective modules, and develop a hierarchical curriculum structure, teaching methods and practice of training evaluation programs, to avoid the past wrong teaching method of extensive but not extractive. © 2012 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
