The transformation of librarians to digital librarians is a revolutionary one in many ways. Information Schools have tried to transform our curricula to meet future needs by focusing on information architecture and metadata, but these are only part of the skills required. This paper explores a number of other academic disciplines, such as Law, Art, Publishing Studies, Museum Studies that should inform curricula for digital librarians. The paper concludes by calling for continued progress towards a more interdisciplinary professional degree.
