Abstract

Sources of noise are discussed. In order to enable an analytical determination of noise in operational amplifiers, the noise characteristics are reduced to an equivalent circuit incorporating two noise sources. Noise in an operational amplifier that forms part of an electronic network is analyzed and appropriate formulas are derived. An illustrative numerical example is included.
