Abstract

Mainframes have been in the market for more than 50 years providing innovative solutions to their business clients. With the recent advances in technology, people expected a dip in mainframe, considering it to be an old iron machine. But mainframes have fought back and proved that they are not still extinct but have surprised the business on how it has evolved with better capabilities to handle real-time data and the so-called big data. This chapter covers all interesting solutions on how mainframe can still be used to provide better client solutions.
