Abstract

Renal cysts are one of the most commonly detected abnormalities of kidneys. They can be associated with congenital or acquired disorders. Simple and complex cysts can be observed in kidneys which have different clinical management. Simple cysts do not require treatment, but complex cysts should be evaluated and followed up with appropriate imaging techniques since they may progress into renal malignancies. In this chapter, imaging findings and pathological features of cystic diseases of the kidney are presented.
